Prominent e-commerce livestreaming host Luo Yonghao announced on June 12 via Weibo that his digital human image would debut for live product promotion on the Baidu e-commerce platform on June 15, inviting his "old friends" to act as "human authenticity verifiers" at that time, drawing industry attention. Previously, Luo had conducted his first livestream on the Baidu e-commerce platform on May 23, with GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) exceeding 50 million yuan within just four hours and an audience of over ten million people, showcasing his strong appeal.

It is understood that Luo Yonghao is the first top-tier host to attempt digital human livestreaming. The launch of this digital human livestreaming is made possible by breakthroughs in key technologies such as high-persuasiveness digital humans by Baidu, opening up cooperation spaces between top hosts and digital human technology. Previously, some analysts believed that the new paradigm of "AI + top IP" in e-commerce not only brings users a brand-new interactive experience but also accelerates the evolution of live e-commerce towards intelligence, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

The introduction of these digital human hosts has reduced merchant livestreaming operating costs by over 80% and increased GMV by an average of 62%, demonstrating the huge potential of digital human technology in enhancing livestreaming efficiency and commercial value.
