On April 24th, Tencent Cloud announced a significant upgrade to its code assistant, CodeBuddy, launching the Craft intelligent software development agent. This innovative tool elevates AI programming from "code completion" to "project delivery," dramatically boosting software development efficiency. According to Tencent Cloud, developers using the Craft agent experience an average coding time reduction of over 40%, with AI-generated code accounting for more than 40% of the total, resulting in a more than 16% increase in R&D efficiency.
Previously, developing a complete application required collaboration among multiple teams, including front-end, back-end, testing, and operations, a complex and time-consuming process. However, the Craft agent changes this. The engineering comprehension function is upgraded to Plus mode, supporting second-level parsing of millions of lines of code, automatically annotating module dependencies and call relationships to help developers quickly get started. The test coverage function supports mainstream testing frameworks, automatically generating test plans and boundary use cases to improve the effectiveness and coverage of testing.
