According to the news from "Intelligent Emergence," X Square Robot, a physical intelligence company established less than a year and a half ago, recently completed an A-round financing of several hundred million yuan. This round was led by Meituan Strategic Investment with Meituan Dragonfly participating as a follower. The funds will mainly be used to accelerate the end-to-end development of its fully self-developed general physical intelligence large model and robot body, while also promoting smart solutions and their implementation in multiple application scenarios.
It is worth noting that prior to this A-round financing, X Square Robot had already completed a Pre-A++ financing of several hundred million yuan led by Lightspeed China and Legend Capital (announced in February this year), as well as a Pre-A+++ financing of several hundred million yuan led by China Media Group Capital, Yunqi Capital, and Guangfa XinDe Investment. Since its establishment, within less than a year and a half, X Square Robot has completed seven financings, raising more than 1 billion yuan in total, demonstrating high recognition from the capital market.

X Square Robot was founded in December 2023, focusing on the research and development of "general physical large models." Its core involves building general robots with fine operation capabilities through real-world data. The "WALL-A" model in its independently developed "Great Wall" operation large model series possesses strong multi-modal information fusion capabilities, capable of integrating different types of perceptual data, natural language instructions, and motion control signals to achieve end-to-end mapping from input to output. Based on large-scale general knowledge pre-training and multi-task learning mechanisms, the "WALL-A" model has demonstrated zero-shot generalization ability in some unseen new task scenarios, which is considered one of the key signs for achieving general robots.
