Recently, Moon's Dark Side subsidiary large model product Kimi announced a new cooperation with Xiaohongshu, launching a chat entry on the "Xiaohongshu · Kimi Intelligent Assistant" account. Users can jump to the chat interface and generate notes with one click. However, according to tests by the "Silicon Base Lab", this entry currently only serves as a lightweight access channel and has not yet formed deep integration with other entries on the Xiaohongshu platform.
As early as 2024, Xiaohongshu had participated in the $1 billion Series A financing of Kimi's parent company. The two parties had jointly launched the "AI Rookie Village" event. The launch of this entry is seen as another attempt by Kimi to implement its strategy under traffic anxiety. Data shows that Kimi's flow budget contracted to 150 million yuan in the first quarter of 2025, only about 1/3 of the previous quarter, marking its shift from "flow-driven" to "content + community" strategy transformation.
Recently, Kimi has been active in many ways. In addition to cooperating with Xiaohongshu, it also cooperated with Caixin Media to introduce financial data and explore the direction of trustworthy model replies. This latest touch with content community platforms also indicates that Moon's Dark Side is seeking to enhance user stickiness through social relationships. However, Kimi's current functions and entries on Xiaohongshu still appear cautious. Whether the two parties will further integrate their product ecosystems remains to be observed.
