Recently, TikTok has launched a new tool called "AI Alive," which allows users to transform static photos into short videos through this AI-powered feature. Users only need to input their desired video effects in the description box, and the system will generate vivid video content for them. The introduction of this function makes it easy for users to create eye-catching short videos, regardless of whether they have editing experience or not.

Users can access this new feature through TikTok's story camera. According to the official blog, AI Alive uses intelligent editing tools to help users make ordinary images more lively and moving. The process of using this tool is relatively simple. Users just need to select a photo and enter a prompt. For example, the system will automatically fill in the prompt box, and users can choose "bring this photo to life." During the upload process, the system usually takes a few minutes, and the generated video is typically only a few seconds long.

I personally tested this new feature and tried several photos from my album. However, when I requested a jumping cat, the system failed to generate the anime-style effect I expected. Despite this, AI Alive provides users with more possibilities and fun in creation.

To ensure that users can use the tool safely, TikTok stated that it has implemented some security measures. The company uses content review technology to check user-uploaded photos and generated prompts, and reviews the generated video content to ensure compliance with platform policies. In addition, videos will be marked as AI-generated content and embedded with C2PA metadata for traceability.

While TikTok launches this new feature, we also look forward to it attracting a large number of new users, just like previous AI effects did.
