According to a statement released by Moonhub on its official website, the entire team will join Salesforce. Moonhub CEO Nancy Xu mentioned that as customers and investors, Salesforce has played a crucial role in Moonhub's growth. She noted that both parties share core values such as customer trust and global innovation opportunities brought by artificial intelligence, and expressed expectations for greater achievements in the future.
However, a spokesperson for Salesforce subsequently clarified to the media that Moonhub was not actually acquired. Instead, Moonhub is shutting down, with only part of the team joining Salesforce, which differs from Moonhub's previous statement.
Moonhub was founded in 2022 by former Meta engineer Nancy Xu. The company provides a series of tools to help businesses recruit, evaluate, and hire candidates. Its artificial intelligence technology can automatically identify job candidates and provide support for tasks such as onboarding and salary management. Moonhub has also achieved certain success in financing, raising a total of $14.4 million. Investors include Khosla Ventures, AIX Ventures, Day One Ventures, GV (formerly Google Ventures), and Salesforce. Moonhub’s clients include hundreds of companies, including some Fortune 500 enterprises.
With the acquisition by Salesforce, Moonhub stated that this would accelerate its mission in the field of artificial intelligence. Nancy Xu mentioned in her statement that Moonhub’s excellent team will play a key role in advancing Salesforce’s artificial intelligence strategy.
Salesforce’s acquisition move is not isolated; the company recently completed an $8 billion acquisition of data management solutions company Informatica. At the same time, Salesforce also acquired automation startup Convergence.ai to enhance its artificial intelligence product line. In recent years, despite mixed feedback from job seekers regarding AI recruitment tools, more and more companies are integrating artificial intelligence technology into recruitment and human resource management. According to a recent Gallup survey, 93% of HR directors at Fortune 500 companies have begun using AI tools to improve recruitment efficiency.
