ByteDance's火山引擎announced that its AI IDE product, TRAE, has undergone a significant upgrade. The upgraded TRAE offers developers more practical features, including code completion, local code generation, as well as supporting complex tasks such as code refactoring, batch modifications, and knowledge-based Q&A.

ByteDance stated that the next version of TRAE will integrate different Agents and tools, coordinate task workflows, and achieve automatic cascading operations, marking its gradual transition from AI-assisted programming to full-process AI development support.

Since its launch in January this year, TRAE has already reached over 1 million monthly active users, demonstrating its popularity among developer communities.
