Greptile, a startup focused on AI code review, is currently raising its Series A round, aiming to raise $30 million, with an expected company valuation of $180 million. Greptile was founded by Dasksh Gupta in 2023, shortly after he graduated from Georgia Tech.

Greptile participated in the renowned Y Combinator incubator program in the winter of 2024 and successfully secured a $4 million seed round led by Initialized Capital. Gupta told TechCrunch that the code review robot developed by Greptile acts like an experienced colleague, capable of deeply understanding customers' code and identifying errors and potential issues that human reviewers might miss.
However, the AI field is highly competitive, especially in the code review market. Greptile's main competitors include Graphite and Coderabbit. Graphite recently successfully raised a $52 million Series B round led by Accel, with investment institutions including Anthology Fund of Anthropic, Menlo Ventures, and a16z. Meanwhile, Coderabbit completed a $16 million Series A round led by CRV last year.
To stand out in the competition, Greptile's employees have made great efforts. At just 22 years old, Gupta stated on social media in November 2023 that the work pace at Greptile is very intense, with employees typically working from 9 am to 11 pm, and even needing to work on weekends. In an interview with Inc magazine, he emphasized that to stand out in the software industry, team members must give their all. He believes that if you only put in 95% effort, it is equivalent to not making any effort at all.
Although facing huge pressure and challenges, Greptile continues to actively seek funding support to achieve greater development and market breakthroughs. The company hopes to maintain its competitiveness in the market by continuously optimizing its code review technology.
