Xiaomi officially launched its first AI glasses at the end of June this year, which quickly attracted market attention. The project leader, Li Chongqi, recently revealed that the project received direct approval from Xiaomi's founder and CEO, Lei Jun, showing the company's high level of importance for this product. After the launch, the market demand for the glasses exceeded the team's expectations, causing a rapid shortage, with sales being several times the initial forecast.

To meet market demand, the Xiaomi team adopted a strategy of using high-end components, trying to ensure product quality within limited time. Although the glasses are priced at 1999 yuan, the team said that the project is still in a loss state overall. This price has a gross margin, but there are still many challenges in bringing the product to market.

Xiaomi AI glasses have been launched in more than 10,000 Xiaomi stores across the country, and have also reached cooperation with hundreds of traditional premium optical shops, further expanding their sales channels. Li Chongqi said that they hope to promote the development of the smart glasses industry through Xiaomi's platform in the next three years, with the annual shipment expected to exceed five million units. According to data, there are more than 700 million myopic people in China, providing a broad space for the market prospects of smart glasses.

Xiaomi AI glasses not only have a 12MP high-definition camera, but also support open-ear headphone functions, are equipped with Super Xiaoai Assistant, and offer electrochromic lens options, with rich features aimed at providing users with convenient smart experiences. Although market feedback is mixed, Xiaomi's confidence in its products and investment in the market show its determination to enter the smart wearable device field.

When facing consumer concerns, the Xiaomi team remains optimistic, expecting to be able to occupy a place in the future market competition by continuously optimizing the product to meet user needs.
