Last night at the launch event, Li Auto officially introduced its new six-seat all-electric SUV - Li i8. This new car comes in three versions: Li i8 Pro, Li i8 Max, and Li i8 Ultra, with prices of 321,800 yuan, 349,800 yuan, and 369,800 yuan respectively. It is expected to be delivered to users on August 20th.
The Li i8 is packed with technological features. It comes standard with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, equipped with self-developed silicon carbide drive motors, with a maximum power of 400kW and torque of 660Nm. More excitingly, it also features a self-developed 5C battery, available in two different capacities: 90.052kWh and 97.842kWh, offering a range of 670 kilometers and 720 kilometers respectively. In addition, the Li i8 comes standard with a laser radar, further enhancing the vehicle's safety and intelligence level.
Notably, the Li i8 is the first in the world to be equipped with the VLA driver large model. This intelligent system will be available with the new car starting from August, allowing users to communicate with it through natural language. Simple commands are directly processed by the in-vehicle system, while complex commands are analyzed through the cloud-based model, resulting in a more intelligent operation experience.
In terms of safety, the Li i8 performs exceptionally well. It comes standard with 9 airbags, and features a 3-meter-long side air curtain, which maintains pressure for up to 36 seconds. In addition, the battery pack has undergone continuous water immersion and extreme temperature difference tests, ensuring safety and reliability in various environments.
In terms of interior design, the Li i8 adopts a wrap-around cabin design, with interior color options of white, gray-brown, and orange-yellow. The new car also comes standard with 20-inch low-resistance wheels, and users can choose to upgrade to two other 21-inch wheel options. To reward the first owner, Li Auto has launched a cash discount of 10,000 yuan, aiming to encourage user repurchase.
