Bloomberg reported that the AI agent platform Manus is about to launch a major feature called Wide Research, which allows the system to call on a large number of AI agents to process complex tasks in parallel, enabling synchronized processing of large-scale data. This is the most significant feature update for Manus since its release in March of this year, and it is expected to go live within the week. The initial version will be available to advanced subscription users who pay $199 per month.

The core highlight of Wide Research lies in its "agent cluster collaboration" technology. Users can assign dozens of agents to work together simultaneously, easily completing large-scale and complex tasks such as "generating 50 poster design drafts," "ranking the top 100 MBA programs globally," or "analyzing the performance of 1,000 stocks"—tasks that typically pose challenges for existing tools like OpenAI's Deep Research. A source revealed that Wide Research will significantly enhance the product's capabilities in general research and automated task execution.

It is reported that the Manus technical team has focused entirely on developing Wide Research over the past two months, aiming to establish a product differentiation advantage through multi-agent parallel computing. Co-founder Ji Yichao plans to demonstrate the feature in a video format, continuing the demonstration style he used when launching Manus.
