Tencent's 2026 Campus Recruitment officially kicked off on August 6. This recruitment targets university students who will graduate between January 2025 and December 2026, offering more than 70 positions across five categories: technical, product, design, marketing, and administrative roles.
With the development of AI technology and the deepening of business scenarios, Tencent continues to strengthen its reserves for technical positions. In the 2026 campus recruitment, there is a relatively higher demand for software development and technical research positions. In addition to the "Qingyun Plan 2026" for top technical talents, which has already been launched, Tencent will also launch an AI Product Manager Trainee Program for top product talents in early August.
Embracing AI Fully, Attracting More Young Talents
In recent years, Tencent has accelerated its layout in the field of AI large models, using its self-developed MixCloud large model as the core engine, accelerating the transition of AI from technological breakthroughs to practical applications, and creating truly "user-friendly AI." Internally, Tencent's business scenarios have fully integrated the MixCloud large model; Tencent has also collaborated with ecosystem partners to combine large model technology with over 30 industries, providing more than 50 industry-specific large model solutions.
Tencent's 2026 campus recruitment will focus heavily on the AI field. A relevant person in charge of Tencent recruitment stated, "The 'AI+' field will significantly increase investment in campus hires, opening up broader and more cutting-edge AI-related positions, providing young people with a 'battlefield' to deeply participate in technological transformation."
The Tencent campus recruitment team revealed that positions such as back-end development, PC client development, mobile client development, and game client development in software development, as well as technical research positions in natural language processing, computer vision, high-performance computing, and infrastructure, have relatively higher demand. According to past experience, positions such as mobile client development, game client development, front-end development, and PC client development tend to receive fewer applications but have higher demand, meaning that the success rate of job applications for these positions will be significantly higher.
"This year, we will review the latest job acceptance progress every month and publicly list the most popular job positions at the moment. You can follow the Tencent Recruitment WeChat Official Account and Xiaohongshu to adjust your job choices flexibly based on real-time job acceptance progress," said Zou Zhidan, a member of the Tencent campus recruitment team.
Aside from regular campus recruitment, Tencent will also launch two special talent programs for AI talents. In addition to the "Qingyun Plan 2026" that started in early June, Tencent will also launch an AI Product Manager Trainee Program for top product talents. According to the introduction, this program will start in early August and is an upgraded version of the previous Tencent Product Manager Trainee Program. It aims to recruit top AI product talents globally through systematic training, specialized training, and cross-disciplinary learning, concentrating Tencent's superior product resources, training resources, and mentor resources to help outstanding AI product managers grow quickly and develop, serving as a cradle for future AI product leaders at Tencent.
Liu Yifeng, head of Tencent's campus recruitment, stated that the upgraded AI product trainee program is a key action for Tencent to embrace the future and invest in the future. "We look forward to the most outstanding young talents joining us. On Tencent's broad platform, they can utilize top resources and practical opportunities to jointly define and create an AI-driven intelligent future," Liu Yifeng said.
Creating a Comprehensive Care System from Onboarding to Growth, the Ideal Starting Point for Campus Graduates
The main locations for this recruitment are six cities: Shenzhen, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Chengdu, with the highest proportion of positions in Shenzhen. At the same time, with the development of Tencent's international business, overseas campus recruitment spans across more than 20 countries and regions, including Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and the Netherlands, with the number of offers increasing year by year.
During this year's campus recruitment period, Tencent is expected to hold more than 40 campus lectures, as well as a variety of campus activities and offline interviews. Starting in mid-August, Tencent's recruitment will also launch a one-month online lecture series, featuring more than 15 campus recruitment job live broadcasts in the order of Technology Week, Non-Technical Week, AI Week, Gaming Week, and Full Position Week, inviting interviewers to explain the characteristics and requirements of the positions, helping graduates better understand Tencent's campus recruitment needs and prepare for their job search.
In the selection process of campus recruitment, Tencent has actively introduced AI tools to enhance efficiency. Previously, in some positions, Tencent had already promoted AI interview tools, which help candidates better showcase their strengths and promote mutual matching between candidates and interviewers.
As a leading company in the internet industry, Tencent has always been favored by campus graduates due to its strong technical capabilities, diverse business forms, stable development, comprehensive welfare system, and open and inclusive corporate culture.
To help new graduates adapt to their positions and integrate into teams, Tencent provides mentors for new employees to offer guidance and support, helping them grow quickly. The rich internal course resources at Tencent also assist employees in continuous learning and progress; the open internal "Live Water" system supports internal transfers, helping employees find more suitable job opportunities.
In addition, Tencent has created a comprehensive care system for new campus recruits covering "Health Protection × Housing Support" for living security, "Unique Experiences × Flexible Models" for exclusive benefits, and "Important Moments × Rich Holidays" for career care.
