Recently, Elon Musk announced on the social media platform X that his artificial intelligence company xAI has officially open-sourced the Grok2.5 model, making the source code of the model available to the public. This move is another practical implementation of Musk's concept of promoting technological openness, and it also opens up new paths for the development of the artificial intelligence field.
Musk further revealed that the more advanced Grok3 model is expected to be released in an open-source format within the next six months as well.
At the same time as the model's open-source release, the Grok App also launched a v1.1.58 version update, bringing multiple user experience improvements. The image generation speed of the Imagine feature has been significantly improved, allowing users to obtain results faster; the interactive fun of the Companions feature has also been enhanced, providing users with a more rich communication experience.
In addition, the Vision mode of Grok is now fully available to all Android users, no longer limited to the test user group. This adjustment is expected to further improve the user experience of the product and attract a wider audience to use Grok-related products.
