Humanoid robots are increasingly being applied in important fields such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare, where the demand for precise motion is becoming more evident. Johannes Hanebeck, CEO of Infineon Technologies, said: "We are pleased to collaborate with NVIDIA, a leader and innovator in the field of humanoid robots. By combining our microcontroller, sensor, and intelligent actuator technologies with NVIDIA's accelerated computing technology, we will provide our customers with simple, integrated, and scalable solutions that significantly reduce their time to market."

In this collaboration, Infineon has applied its PSOC™ and AURIX™ microcontroller product lines to the Jetson Thor ecosystem. These products are renowned for their industry-leading security, effectively protecting against cyberattacks and unauthorized access. Microcontrollers offer multi-core real-time processing capabilities, ensuring the safety and responsiveness of robot systems.

Infineon's PSOC Control C3 series microcontrollers can seamlessly integrate with NVIDIA's Holoscan sensor bridge, providing real-time inference performance and scalability. These microcontrollers are particularly suitable for implementing Field Oriented Control (FOC) algorithms, widely used in precise motor control, which can reduce noise and provide stable torque output, reducing vibration issues in humanoid robot designs. In addition, Infineon also offers the latest gallium nitride (GaN)-based motor control chipsets, helping to achieve high-density, high-efficiency motion control solutions.

Through its collaboration with NVIDIA, Infineon is driving further development in the humanoid robot field, enabling robots to perform more complex tasks and complete operations with higher precision. In the future, as technology continues to advance, humanoid robots will demonstrate their strong application potential in more industries.
