Today, the Baidu Autumn Festival and the Grand Prize Award Ceremony were held grandly at the Baidu Science and Technology Park. The founder, chairman, and CEO of Baidu, Li Yanhong, attended the event in person and presented each winning team with a check for $1 million in prize money to recognize their outstanding contributions.
At the award ceremony, Li Yanhong shared his profound insights on the future development of AI. He pointed out that the development of large AI models is approaching a "tipping point," indicating that "a variety of very valuable applications" are about to emerge. Li Yanhong said that we are in a "very exciting and very promising" market environment.
Li Yanhong revealed that Baidu began to fully implement the "ALL IN AI" strategy two years ago, integrating AI technology into all its products. Currently, 65% of the content in Baidu Search has generative characteristics and is usually placed in the most prominent position. He mentioned that products such as Baidu Baike have also been fully multimedia, and search results will prioritize showing images, videos, or even live streams.
In Li Yanhong's view, these series of changes are the most radical transformation among all global search engines, and represent the direction of the future development of search engines.
