Motion was founded in 2019 by former hedge fund analyst Harry Qi. Initially, Motion focused on developing an AI-powered calendar and task management application. In 2020, Motion successfully joined the Winter batch of Y Combinator, and then gradually expanded its customer base. In May of this year, with the rise of AI agents, Motion underwent a strategic transformation, launching a suite of AI agent services designed for small and medium-sized businesses. This new product quickly gained market favor, with Motion's B2B customer count exceeding 10,000 within four months, and annual recurring revenue surpassing $10 million.

Harry Qi said that the biggest advantage of Motion's AI agent suite lies in the deep integration between agents. For example, an agent acting as a virtual assistant can automatically complete tasks such as meeting notes, scheduling, and email replies, and understand the progress of other agents, such as sales representatives, project managers, and marketing assistants.

Qi is full of ambition, hoping that Motion will become "the next Microsoft." He explained that the company's strategy is to build a comprehensive set of key productivity agents and sell them as a package. This contrasts sharply with most enterprises currently purchasing independent AI solutions, as Motion's agents work collaboratively like human employees.

Integration capabilities are a major highlight of Motion. Its agents can seamlessly connect with third-party software tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Slack, allowing users to call upon these agents at any time, regardless of where they work. Motion's rapid growth reflects the strong demand from small and medium-sized businesses for efficient automation tools, which are typically adopted by large enterprises to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

In addition, Motion's pricing strategy is highly competitive, starting at $29 per seat per month, including 1,000 credit points and limited agent features, up to a $600 per month plan for 25 seats, including 250,000 credit points and full agent capabilities. For companies needing more seats or credit points, Motion also offers custom pricing upon discussion.

With the completion of this funding round, Motion plans to invest more in research and development, expand the capabilities of its AI agent suite, and strengthen marketing and strategic partnerships to achieve more integrations.
