The research team from the University of Kentucky has successfully deciphered a 2000-year-old ancient Roman scroll using artificial intelligence. Two students successfully identified the first complete word, "πορϕυρας," meaning "purple," using machine learning methods. This breakthrough brings hope for unlocking the treasure trove of ancient texts without the need to unroll the scrolls and risk damage. This achievement will continue to provide archaeologists and historians with deeper insights into ancient civilizations.
