ByteDance's Volc Engine has recently launched its new general-purpose translation large model - Doubao-Seed-Translation (Doubao Translation Model), which supports bidirectional translation across 28 languages.
The official claims that the translation performance of the Doubao Translation Model has reached or exceeded market-leading models such as GPT-4o and Gemini-2.5-Pro. In terms of price, the Doubao Translation Model is also highly competitive, with input costs at 1.20 yuan per million characters and output costs at 3.60 yuan.
