At the 2025 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference, Tencent Cloud announced a notable development: its Intelligent Agent Development Platform 3.0 (ADP3.0) has officially launched, and multiple core technologies from the Tencent Youtu Lab will be open-sourced. With this major move, Tencent aims to provide developers with more support and resources, promoting the popularization of intelligent agent technology.
Wu Yunsheng, Vice President of Tencent Cloud, pointed out that competition in cloud services is no longer limited to infrastructure; it also requires "substance" in intelligent agents to attract customers. Therefore, the launch of ADP3.0 marks a significant move by Tencent Cloud in the field of intelligent agents.
After three months of careful refinement, the new version added nearly 600 features, with updates across various modules such as information retrieval capabilities (RAG), workflows (Workflow), and multi-agent collaboration (Multi-Agent). Particularly, the upgrade of RAG capabilities allows users not only to retrieve relevant information after asking a question but also to perform logical reasoning and generate more comprehensive answers. Additionally, the multi-agent collaboration feature enables different AI systems to work together, share tasks, and improve work efficiency.
The workflow function of the new platform has also seen significant improvements, supporting asynchronous calls and message queues, allowing the next step to be executed only after the previous one is completed, avoiding operational confusion. Tencent Cloud also introduced the "Model Square," similar to an application store for AI, where users can easily access and use various models, greatly reducing the difficulty of migration and integration.
Notably, the Youtu Lab at Tencent has taken an important step in open-sourcing, having open-sourced the Youtu-Agent framework and the Youtu-GraphRAG knowledge graph framework in September. In the future, more models will be open-sourced, promoting the sharing and collaboration of technology.
Wu Yunsheng stated that open-sourcing aims to promote the inclusiveness of technology, hoping to build a thriving intelligent agent ecosystem together with developers. He emphasized that through low-barrier construction, integration, and operation, enterprises can more easily apply intelligent agent technology, enhancing their competitiveness.
This innovation and open-source initiative by Tencent Cloud marks the acceleration of the company's exploration and application in the field of intelligent agents. In the future, more enterprises will benefit from this new technology.
