Alibaba has once again introduced a powerful tool - Qoder CLI (Command Line Interface), adding new color to the programming experience of developers around the world. At 12:00 AM on October 16, Alibaba officially launched this new AI programming tool, which has strong code generation and understanding capabilities, aiming to significantly improve development efficiency while dramatically reducing memory consumption and command response time.

The launch of Qoder CLI marks an important step for Alibaba in the field of programming tools. Now, developers can easily perform tasks such as code generation, debugging, and deployment through any command line terminal. Compared with traditional integrated development environments (IDEs), Qoder CLI demonstrates higher efficiency in script processing, toolchain integration, and custom workflows, especially suitable for development scenarios that require quick response and flexibility.

In terms of technology, Qoder CLI is designed based on a lightweight Agent framework, which can run efficiently on regular laptops and cloud sandboxes, adapting to different development needs. According to testing, Qoder CLI consumes 70% less memory in idle state compared to similar products, meaning developers can enjoy an efficient programming experience without occupying too many resources.

Aside from its outstanding performance, Qoder CLI also provides developers with a rich set of features. Its Quest mode allows developers to program on their own, and the AI can automatically complete the development according to the task specifications, greatly reducing the workload of developers. Meanwhile, the built-in CodeReview function makes code review more efficient, allowing developers to quickly identify key changes in projects within the terminal and receive immediate review feedback. The review time is reduced by 50%, while code quality is doubled. In addition, Qoder CLI supports file editing, command execution, and creating commits, and can be flexibly extended through MCP.

Xie Jibao, the technical lead of Alibaba Qoder, stated that the future development interface will not only be limited to IDE or CLI, but rather the integration of both. This "IDE+CLI" dual-engine model will support more development scenarios. The future programming interface will become a standard configuration for developers, just like keyboards and mice, desktops and mobile devices coexist.
