According to Cailian News, Lei Jun, founder and chairman of Xiaomi Group, stated in a recent interview that artificial intelligence will have a profound impact on traditional industries in the next five years, making the bold assertion that "all industries are worth reinventing with AI."

Lei Jun used Xiaomi's car factory as an example to explain the efficiency leap brought about by the integration of AI and traditional manufacturing. He pointed out that by combining X-ray machines and AI visual large models to inspect large die-cast parts, the inspection time can be compressed to within 2 seconds, which is 10 times more efficient than manual work, and the accuracy is more than 5 times that of manual work, demonstrating the disruptive improvement of AI in quality control and production efficiency.
He predicted that the deep integration of artificial intelligence with traditional industries will open up a new trillion-yuan market. At the same time, Lei Jun emphasized that no company can independently master all links, so it is necessary to collaborate with the strongest partners to jointly drive the upgrading of the entire industry chain.
In addition to automation upgrades, Lei Jun also revealed Xiaomi's vision for future factories: humanoid robots working in factories are becoming a reality. He expects that within the next five years, humanoid robots will be widely employed in Xiaomi factories. He further pointed out that factory applications are just the first step, and the demand and requirements for humanoid robots at home are greater and higher, indicating a larger market potential.
