The 2025 China Artificial Intelligence Conference was held in Beijing, attracting more than 300 scholars, academicians, and enterprise representatives from China and abroad to jointly explore cutting-edge research and industrial practices in the field of artificial intelligence. At the conference, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park Management Committee released the "Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry White Paper (2025)", providing an in-depth analysis of the current status of artificial intelligence development globally and in China.

The white paper pointed out that with the continuous maturation of artificial intelligence technology, the core industry scale of Beijing in this field is rapidly growing. In the first half of 2025, the scale of Beijing's core artificial intelligence industry reached 215.22 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth rate of 25.3%. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the industry scale will exceed 450 billion yuan, and the number of artificial intelligence enterprises in Beijing has already exceeded 2,500, with the activity level of related technology and application research ranking among the top in the country.
In terms of scientific research and innovation, Beijing's universities and research institutions continue to produce outstanding achievements. Multiple original research results have been successively released, such as teams from Tsinghua University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences achieving major technological breakthroughs. In addition, the Beijing Zhiyuan Institute of Artificial Intelligence and other new research institutions are also promoting open-source innovation in basic software and model algorithms, further enhancing Beijing's competitiveness in the global artificial intelligence ecosystem.

To promote the healthy development of artificial intelligence, Beijing has introduced a series of policy measures this year, aiming to build a complete industrial ecosystem. These policies not only encourage investment and financing activities but also create a favorable innovation environment and support enterprises in expanding their markets globally. The white paper also looks forward to various future trends in artificial intelligence, pointing out that smart devices will have stronger processing capabilities and may bring about new technological breakthroughs in various fields.
In the future, Beijing will continue to strengthen the comprehensive development of education, science and technology, and talent, striving to find its position in the global artificial intelligence innovation network, and consolidate and enhance its leading position as the "Number One City for Artificial Intelligence".
