Regarding the recent user reports of WeChat usage abnormalities and controversial high-risk permissions, Doubao Mobile Assistant released a statement on the evening of December 2nd to provide a comprehensive response. The statement not only acknowledged specific issues but also clarified the doubts raised by the outside world regarding its permission access, emphasizing its commitment to user authorization and privacy protection.
Several users reported that when using Doubao Mobile Assistant on the Nubia M153 phone, they encountered abnormal exits and login failures while operating WeChat. To resolve this issue, Doubao Mobile Assistant has decided to take offline its WeChat operation functions. Meanwhile, the statement indicated that the banned WeChat accounts are being gradually unblocked, and users are advised to wait patiently and try to log in again.

Regarding the rumors that a tech company claimed Doubao Mobile Assistant has high-risk permissions INJECT_EVENTS on Nubia phones and may be infringing on user privacy, Doubao Mobile Assistant firmly denied these claims.
The company emphasized that this permission is a technical implementation required to provide its mobile operation service, and its use relies on active user authorization, with clear notifications during the process, not obtained through hacking activities. Doubao Mobile Assistant further explained that similar permissions are commonly used by AI assistants in the industry.
To address concerns about privacy leaks, Doubao Mobile Assistant promised:
It will not store any user screen content on the cloud.
The operation process will not be stored on the server side.
The company stated that although the current version is a "technology preview" aimed at the industry and AI technology enthusiasts, it will still follow the industry's high standards for compliance, striving to implement safety and trust in practice, and welcomes criticism and suggestions from all sectors.
