Recently, Anthropic released a study targeting creative professionals, showing that AI tools enhance work efficiency but also cause social pressure and anxiety about unemployment among users. The study surveyed 1,250 professionals using an AI-driven interview tool, covering various industries including science and creative fields.

The survey results show that 97% of creative professionals believe AI can save time, and 68% say AI has improved the quality of their work. A web content writer shared that their daily output increased from 2,000 to 5,000 words by using AI. A photographer also mentioned that AI's efficiency in handling routine editing tasks shortened their work cycle from 12 weeks to 3 weeks.
However, with improved work efficiency, 70% of creative professionals also felt social stigmatization from colleagues. A map artist said they did not want their brand image to be closely associated with AI due to its negative impact. A fact-checker also mentioned that they chose to conceal their workflow due to concerns about colleagues' biases towards AI.
In addition to social pressure, many creative professionals expressed concerns about unemployment. They worry that AI technology may replace certain positions, leading to the devaluation of human creativity. A voice actor pointed out that the rise of AI has already made certain areas of work almost disappear. Despite this, all interviewed creative professionals stated they wanted to maintain control over their creations, but in reality, many admitted that AI plays a major role in the creative process.
In contrast, scientists have a slightly different perspective. They mainly use AI for literature reviews, programming, and writing, but still question AI's reliability in core research tasks. Nevertheless, 91% of scientists expressed a desire for more AI support in their research.
Anthropic stated that they will expand the use of AI-driven interview tools and plan to release anonymized research results to further understand the impact of AI on the workplace.
