Alexa has recently introduced a series of new shopping features in the US and Canadian markets, aimed at enhancing the user shopping experience. This upgrade transforms the Echo smart speaker screens into a central hub for shopping, order tracking, and recommendations.

The new "Shopping Essentials" interface will be available on Echo devices with screens, such as the Echo Show 15 and 21. Users can track the delivery status of their packages in real time, view recent order information, and receive reminders for restocking household essentials. Additionally, users can easily access their shopping lists and saved items.

To use this new feature, users just need to say to Alexa, "Where are my things?" or "Open Shopping Essentials." In the future, Amazon will also introduce a shopping widget on the main screen of Echo devices, further facilitating users' shopping operations.

Another notable feature is that Alexa device users can add items to orders that are about to be shipped before they leave the warehouse. This feature is similar to what was recently launched on Amazon's retail website and app, although it was not previously available on Alexa devices.

Additionally, Alexa + has added a gift recommendation feature. Users can describe their shopping recipients or occasions, and Alexa + will display categorized product suggestions on the screen to help users choose appropriate gifts.

Amazon stated that Alexa + is now available to "tens of millions" of customers, and the new shopping features have been launched in the US and Canada. Although some users have expressed dissatisfaction with Alexa +, the company noted that the percentage of users who reverted to the version without an AI interface remains in the "very low single-digit percentage."
