Evanson began providing consulting services to Pickle in September 2023 and later joined full-time. He performed exceptionally well during his career at Tesla, where he served as Vice President of Global Investor Relations and Strategy. During this time, he worked closely with Tesla founder Elon Musk, successfully assisting the company in securing multiple rounds of funding and supporting the launch of several electric vehicle models and company acquisitions. Pickle Robot was founded in 2018 and focuses on providing automated unloading robots for warehouses and distribution centers. To date, it has successfully raised about $100 million in funding. According to a report by Bloomberg, UPS will invest $120 million in Pickle and purchase 400 robots, which are expected to be deployed by the end of 2026 or early 2027. Although Pickle has not provided detailed comments on the details of this collaboration, a spokesperson confirmed that UPS has been a customer of the company for many years.
