The director of the Expert Advisory Committee on Education Digitalization of the Ministry of Education, Yang Zongkai, emphasized at a press conference on the 30th that to maintain global leadership in the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and beyond, it is crucial to achieve high consistency between platforms, data, AI tools, and policies, thus deeply reshaping the new educational ecosystem.
Yang Zongkai pointed out that the primary task of deepening reform is to promote integration. By continuously building the National Education Big Data Center, a fully integrated system covering enrollment, teaching, management, and employment can be established. While achieving efficient data sharing with "one number, one source," the development of China's independently controllable large-scale educational artificial intelligence model should be accelerated, supported by a rigorous long-term mechanism for safety and ethics. In advancing intelligent transformation, we should adhere to the core concept of "AI for good" and cultivating virtue, integrating AI technology into all elements of teaching and learning. Intelligent upgrades will drive large-scale personalized education, nurturing innovative talents that meet the needs of the times.

In addition, the core to improving the effectiveness of education lies in the comprehensive advancement of digital literacy among teachers and students. Yang Zongkai proposed making digital empowerment of teacher development a long-term task, coordinating an integrated artificial intelligence general education for all levels of schools, and formally incorporating digital competence into students' comprehensive quality evaluation. Finally, China will vigorously promote the internationalization of educational digitalization, through measures such as strengthening the international version of the National Smart Education Platform and promoting the operationalization of the World Digital Education Alliance, to deeply participate in global governance, contributing Chinese wisdom and enhancing its voice in international digital education issues.
