According to AIbase, Anthropic officially launched a new feature called "Claude Cowork" on Monday, aiming to further expand its AI agent capabilities and bring them to more everyday office scenarios.
This feature is released as a "research preview," evolving from the "Skills for Claude" technology launched in October last year. It is currently available only to macOS users who have subscribed to the Claude Max plan (priced between $20 and $100) and can be used within the native application.

The core logic of Claude Cowork lies in deeply integrating into the user's local workflow. Users simply need to grant it access to specific folders on their computer, and Claude can then read, edit, or create files directly.
According to the official demonstration, this feature can automatically rename and organize downloaded files, compile disorganized screenshots into expense tables, or generate initial reports based on scattered notes. Additionally, through existing connectors, Cowork can also work with external tools such as Asana, Notion, PayPal, and the Chrome browser to handle complex tasks across platforms.
