The commercialization of the AI large model industry is materializing at an astonishing pace. According to insiders, Anthropic, the developer of the Claude series of large models, has seen its annualized revenue surge from $4 billion in July 2025 to over $9 billion by year-end, more than doubling in just six months. This data not only confirms the strong demand for its enterprise-level AI services but also highlights the deep penetration of Claude among high-value customers.
The core driver behind this explosive growth is Anthropic's successful implementation in high-compliance industries such as finance, law, and healthcare. Its flagship "Constitutional AI" secure and controllable architecture has made it the preferred choice for large institutions that require strict reliability. With a sharp increase in API usage and expansion of enterprise subscriptions, the company's revenue curve continues to rise sharply.
In this context, Anthropic is actively pushing forward with a new round of massive fundraising. It is reported that Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC and the U.S. top technology investment firm Coatue will co-lead the round, aiming to raise approximately $25 billion, with a post-money valuation reaching $350 billion — a figure that not only breaks its own record but also firmly places it among the most valuable AI startups globally.
Notably, this funding round comes just one year after its $15 billion strategic investment from Microsoft and NVIDIA in 2024. The continued capital injection reflects the market's high recognition of its technological barriers, commercialization path, and long-term AGI vision.
However, challenges should not be overlooked. Although revenue is growing rapidly, supporting a trillion-dollar valuation still requires proof of a sustainable profit model. At the same time, competition in the enterprise market from OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Chinese large model providers is becoming increasingly intense. Anthropic must maintain its technological leadership while accelerating the expansion of industry scenarios and global deployment.
When an AI company doubles its revenue within half a year and its valuation approaches $350 billion, it is no longer an idealistic project in the lab but a key player in the global tech power structure. Anthropic's next steps may determine how high the ceiling of AI commercialization truly is.
