At the "Baichuan-M3Plus Model Launch Media Conference," Baichuan Intelligence announced the release of the upgraded version Baichuan-M3Plus (referred to as M3Plus). This is an important update released just 9 days after the open-source release of the new-generation medical model Baichuan-M3. The official stated that M3Plus has further improved the accuracy and reliability of medical Q&A, setting a new record for low hallucination performance in the industry.
According to the introduction, M3Plus has significantly reduced the hallucination rate compared to the previous generation. In the Halluciation Rate evaluation, its hallucination rate dropped from 3.5 in M3 to 2.6, showing significant improvement in overall stability and credibility.
During the on-site testing session at the launch event, Baichuan Intelligence conducted comparative tests between M3Plus and several mainstream domestic medical model products. The results showed that some similar products still had issues such as unclear sources of references and professional expressions that could easily lead to misunderstandings. In contrast, the application "Bai Xiaoying" integrated with M3Plus provided more accurate and clear answers, performing outstandingly.
In addition to performance improvements, M3Plus has also made breakthroughs in cost control. Baichuan Intelligence stated that the model achieved a 70% reduction in API call costs, effectively lowering the usage threshold and providing strong support for subsequent large-scale deployment and promotion.
