David Silver, a key pioneer at Google DeepMind, has officially announced his departure. As the driving force behind groundbreaking projects such as AlphaGo, AlphaZero, and MuZero, his exit not only marks the end of an era at DeepMind but also signals a trend of top global AI talent moving toward more experimental fields.

Subsequently, David Silver founded a startup called Ineffable Intelligence in London. Unlike the current mainstream approach that relies solely on large language models (LLMs), Silver firmly believes that LLMs trained only on human data cannot lead to true superintelligence. He has bet on the field of "reinforcement learning," advocating that AI should gain knowledge through continuous trial and error and self-experience, rather than passively learning existing human information.

This vision is referred to by Silver as the "Age of Experience." In his view, AI should build world models through long-term interaction with the environment, similar to humans or animals, enabling continuous learning. This ability to autonomously discover knowledge is considered key to breaking through the current bottlenecks of large models.

Currently, Ineffable Intelligence is actively attracting investors and top researchers. As more leading scientists leave big companies to explore new paths, a second competition on "how to achieve superintelligence" has already begun.
