To thank the open source community for its significant contributions to the AI ecosystem, Anthropic officially launched the "Claude for Open Source Program." This initiative aims to provide high-level AI computing power support to maintainers and core contributors of popular open source projects.

According to this program, eligible applicants will receive a 6-month free Claude Max20x usage entitlement. Anthropic stated that open source maintainers are the cornerstone of the ongoing operation of the technology ecosystem, and providing top-tier AI tools is intended to help them more efficiently handle code audits, refactoring, and community maintenance tasks.
Eligibility and requirements:
Core identity: Applicants must be main maintainers or core team members of public repositories.
Project influence: The repository must have 5000+ Stars on GitHub, or a monthly download count exceeding 1 million times on NPM.
Activity requirements: Applicants must have continuous commit, release, or PR review records in the past 3 months.
Notably, Anthropic has shown flexibility: if your project may not be large in scale but is a "critical infrastructure" relied upon by many systems, you are still welcome to apply and explain the value of your project. Currently, the application channel is open, and developers can register through the sales contact page on the Claude official website.
