Wang Xing believes that the scale of change brought by AI will far exceed that of the internet era, not only creating great productivity but also fundamentally reshaping organizational structures and work models. He compared the relationship between AI and the internet to the essential difference between "monkeys and flowers," emphasizing that for this wave, the only choice for enterprises is to actively embrace it and encourage the continuous emergence of innovative ideas.
Regarding Meituan's core business logic, Wang Xing clearly pointed out that "digitalization of the physical world" is the core foundation for AI to be applied. He used the example of "Einstein as a secretary," pointing out that simple intellectual enhancement cannot solve immediate information gaps such as restaurant seating, emphasizing the importance of real information infrastructure in AI applications.
It is known that since 2025, Meituan has significantly increased its investment in local life information infrastructure and has successively launched multiple AI applications and self-developed large models. During this year's Spring Festival, Meituan has launched an AI search product called "Wen Xiao Tuan" based on the national local life infrastructure, marking that its AI Agent strategy has entered the practical application stage.
From an industry trend perspective, Meituan's actions indicate that the competition of large models is shifting from general intelligence to industry experts with deep integration of physical world information, and the impact of AI Agents on real business processes will become the focus of the next phase of competition among tech giants.
