Recently, the Douyin platform has launched a special campaign against violations involving the use of AI technology to generate pornographic and vulgar content. This year, the platform has dealt with a total of 42,000 pieces of illegal content and taken tiered penalties, including banning and restricting access, against 14,000 accounts, effectively cracking down on online black industries.
This campaign focuses on black industry groups that use AI to create false personas and post suggestive videos to redirect users. According to information, some violators use AI-generated images of beautiful women as live stream covers or homepage collections to lure users to third-party pornographic applications. Currently, 339 related accounts have had their live streaming privileges permanently revoked, and a gang of four involved have been criminally detained by law for suspected illegal use of information networks.
Douyin emphasized that using AI to generate "borderline" content with revealing clothing has violated the platform's guidelines and relevant laws. At present, the platform has banned or demoted 8,421 accounts continuously posting such content and handed over related illegal clues to the public security authorities.
In the future, Douyin will continue to upgrade technical means and enhance its ability to identify and intercept AI-generated harmful content. The platform reminds users to jointly resist vulgar content and maintain a clean cyberspace.
