On March 16, Alibaba Group announced the establishment of the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) business group, led directly by the group's CEO Wu Yongming. This major organizational change aims to address industry trends in the pre-AGI era and establish a core business focus on "creating, delivering, and applying Tokens." The ATH business group deeply integrates Alibaba's full-stack AI layout, with a business matrix covering the Tongyi Lab, MaaS business line, Qianwen Business Unit, AI Innovation Business Unit, as well as the newly unveiled "Wukong Business Unit."

As a strategic highlight of this adjustment, the Wukong Business Unit is positioned as a B-end AI-native work platform, committed to deeply integrating large model capabilities into existing enterprise workflows, marking Alibaba's official launch of large-scale efforts in the B-end AI application market while consolidating the C-end influence of "Tongyi Qianwen." At the same time, the Tongyi Lab will continue to pursue the upper limits of basic model capabilities, while the MaaS business line will focus on building an efficient and open model service ecosystem.

Alibaba's internal announcement stated that in the future, hundreds of billions of AI Agents will become the main medium for humans to interact with the digital world, and these intelligent entities are essentially supported by Tokens generated by models. Through this restructuring, Alibaba aims to strengthen strategic collaboration among its business divisions in the AI Agent era, accelerating the reshaping of productivity tools through an agile organizational form. This move not only reflects Alibaba's clear judgment on the commercialization path of large models but also indicates that major domestic tech companies are shifting from technology research and development competition to the second half of the game focused on scenario deepening and ecological distribution.
