After fully integrating the AI assistant into office and system infrastructure, Microsoft is finally bringing this revolution into the living room.

According to the latest news, Microsoft plans to officially introduce the Copilot AI assistant to the "current generation" Xbox consoles (including Xbox Series X|S) this year. This means that gamers will soon have a brand-new interactive experience: if you can't beat a level, don't rush to throw your controller, just ask the AI directly.

This Copilot, specifically tailored for gaming, is extremely powerful. It's no longer just simple voice commands but deeply integrated into the game ecosystem:

Real-time "tactical coach": When you are stuck in a game or unable to deal with a powerful boss, simply use voice to wake it up, and Copilot will provide strategy suggestions based on your real-time progress.

Material synthesis encyclopedia: For example, in "Minecraft," you can directly ask it what materials are needed to make a sword, and the AI will give you an answer instantly, eliminating the hassle of repeatedly switching screens to check guides.

Game history expert: It can also answer questions about your personal gaming history and recommend the next must-play masterpiece based on your preferences.

Previously, Microsoft has already tested this feature on Xbox mobile app, Windows 11, and ROG Ally handheld devices. With its official launch on consoles this year, the living room will truly become intelligent.

Notably, Microsoft is currently undergoing major personnel changes and long-term planning. Asha Sharma, former head of the AI development team at Microsoft Enterprise, took over as Microsoft Games CEO in February, and the next-generation Xbox project codenamed Project Helix is also under intense development, expected to reach the alpha version around 2027 and achieve deep support for PC games.
