At the 2026 China Development High-level Forum, Lei Jun of Xiaomi Group clearly stated that the highly anticipated desktop version of the AI agent "Crab" (MiClaw) has been included in the development plan. Previously, Xiaomi had launched a small-scale closed beta for the mobile version of MiClaw on March 6 and released signals of cross-device collaboration during its spring product launch on March 19. With the official full-platform release of Xiaomi's self-developed large model MiMo-V2-Pro last week, MiClaw function has also undergone a comprehensive update and is now open for experience.

As an AI agent with real task execution capabilities, MiClaw differs fundamentally from traditional voice assistants. Its core positioning is to enable automated processing of complex instructions through the integration of large models, rather than simple logical thinking. Empowered by MiMo-V2-Pro, MiClaw has been deeply integrated into Xiaomi's "people-vehicle-home full ecosystem," supporting local deployment to enhance privacy security. Users can achieve customized linkage between their phones and MiHome smart devices through natural language. Although market enthusiasm has become more rational after the initial surge, the development of the desktop version of MiClaw is seen as a crucial step in completing the ecological loop.
Xiaomi is currently focusing on overcoming the more complex office data processing and permission standards on the computer end. Once the desktop version is officially launched, it will connect the AI agent between the phone and PC, two core terminals. In the current trend of AI agents evolving into productivity tools, Xiaomi's move not only strengthens its AI competitiveness in the consumer electronics field but also indicates that the application of large models is transitioning from simple dialogue interactions to full-scenario, system-level autonomous task execution.
