According to the latest data from OpenRouter, on April 6, 2026, the number of tokens used by Chinese AI large models reached 12.96 trillion in the past week, representing a 31.48% increase compared to the previous week. This performance has allowed Chinese AI large models to exceed those of the United States in global token usage for five consecutive weeks, demonstrating China's strong strength in this field.

Globally, the total token usage of AI large models reached 27 trillion between March 30 and April 5, an 18.9% increase compared to the previous week. Among them, Chinese AI large models stood out, occupying all six positions in the global token usage rankings. Alibaba's Qwen3.6 Plus (free version) ranked first with a weekly token usage of 4.6 trillion, becoming the most popular model of the week. In addition, Qwen3.6 Plus Preview ranked third with 1.64 trillion tokens, while Xiaomi's MiMo-V2-Pro dropped to second place with a weekly token usage of 3.08 trillion due to a decline in usage.

During this period, Step 3.5 Flash (free version) by Jiechu Xingchen ranked fourth with 1.26 trillion tokens, while MiniMax M2.7 and DeepSeek V3.2 tied for fifth with 1.19 trillion tokens each. By comparison, the weekly token usage of AI large models in the United States was 3.03 trillion tokens, with only a 0.76% increase compared to the previous week. This huge gap highlights the rapid development and increased market share of Chinese AI large models.

In recent years, Chinese AI technology has continued to evolve, and its application scenarios have also been expanding continuously. This trend not only enhances China's competitive position in the global AI industry but also injects new momentum into the development of the digital economy.
