Meta has recently launched its latest AI model, Muse Spark, marking a significant advancement in the company's artificial intelligence field. This model was developed by Meta's Super Intelligence Lab, led by Alexandr Wang, former head of Scale AI. The release of Muse Spark immediately boosted the ranking of Meta AI on the US App Store, rising from 57th to 5th, indicating strong user demand.

According to market intelligence company Appfigures, within the first day of Muse Spark's release, the download count of Meta AI on the US iOS platform reached about 46,000, an increase of 87% compared to the previous day. However, on the Android platform, the download count of Meta AI only increased by 3%. Meta stated that Muse Spark is a significantly upgraded model, supporting multiple input methods, including voice, text, and images, which can help users answer complex questions in areas such as health, science, and mathematics, while also enabling visual programming, allowing users to create websites and games with simple prompts.
Additionally, Meta AI can activate multiple sub-agents to handle user questions. This model will be gradually rolled out to other platforms, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Meta's AI glasses. At the time of Muse Spark's release, the Meta AI mobile application and website were also updated, allowing users to switch between different modes based on their task requirements.
Despite the surge in downloads, the Meta AI app still lags behind competitors such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude, and Google's Gemini in industry rankings. Wang stated on social media that the high ranking of the app proves its growing potential.
Data shows that since its launch, the total global download count of the Meta AI app has reached 60.5 million, with 25 million downloads occurring this year. Over the past five months, the download count of Meta AI has grown by 138% compared to the initial five months. According to Appfigures data, India is now the largest market for Meta AI downloads, followed by the United States, Brazil, Pakistan, and Mexico.
