According to a recent survey report released by the internet research company Graphite, AI-generated content on the Internet has officially surpassed human-created content. This finding has sparked reflection on the balance between efficiency and creativity. The report states that from 2020 to 2025, a research team analyzed 65,000 websites, and the results showed that since the release of ChatGPT in 2022, the proportion of AI-generated articles has risen sharply, and it is expected to exceed human-created content by the end of 2025.

The report's research used an AI detection tool called Surfer, whose database covers 18 years of Internet data and updates 3 to 5 billion web pages monthly, allowing it to accurately identify features of AI-generated content. Its criteria state that if the portion of human-written content in an article is less than 50%, the article will be classified as AI-generated.
Industry insiders have long warned that if AI-generated content dominates, it may lead large language models into a self-generation data loop, potentially facing "suffocation" or collapse. This is because without continuous input of human-created content, AI capabilities may not be effectively improved, and even more severe misinformation issues could arise.
Furthermore, over-reliance on AI tools may cause people to neglect necessary learning processes, leading to a loss of independent analytical abilities, and ultimately affecting literary creation and scientific research. Industry experts emphasize that stagnation in knowledge production and the decline of human analytical abilities have become a real and urgent threat. Currently, we may be trading long-term collective knowledge assets for short-term personal efficiency, and if this trend is not curbed, it could lead to the collapse of human civilization.
Key Points:
🌐 AI-generated content has exceeded human-created content, reflecting both efficiency gains and a creative crisis.
📊 The survey shows that since the launch of ChatGPT, the proportion of AI-generated articles has risen rapidly.
⚠️ Over-reliance on AI may lead to a decline in independent thinking, which can affect knowledge production and the development of human civilization.
