With the popularity of AI-generated content (AIGC), the Douyin Life Service platform has recently officially released the "Douyin Life Service AIGC Creation Guidelines." The core purpose of these guidelines is to enhance the transparency and authenticity of content, requiring all creators to proactively and clearly label any content generated or synthesized by artificial intelligence, ensuring users' right to be informed.

Crackdown on Infringement and Unauthorized Use, Protecting Original Audio-Visual Materials

In terms of copyright and personality rights protection, the new regulations set strict boundaries. Creators are not allowed to use others' images, voices, or works for "face swapping," "voice imitation," or other forms of adaptation without legitimate, explicit, and traceable authorization. Additionally, the platform strictly prohibits the use of unauthorized materials or stolen scripts for AI model training and content generation, aiming to prevent the abuse of technology and related infringement issues from the source.

Strict Regulation of Related Categories, Prohibiting AI Replacement of Real-World Services

For key industries closely related to consumer interests, such as catering, accommodation, entertainment, bathing and massage, beauty, repair, and home services, the guidelines have put forward more specific and stringent requirements. When publishing group-buying videos in these industries, key information such as product display, actual scenes, service processes, and final effects must not be replaced by AI-generated fake content.

This regulation means that life service short videos must return to "real experiences," prohibiting the use of AIGC to fabricate service environments or exaggerate service effects, thereby ensuring that consumers see what they get when purchasing group-buying products and maintaining a fair and healthy online shopping environment.
