Since its release, the total number of tokens called by Hy3preview has exceeded 10 times that of its predecessor, Hy2. Data monitoring shows that code writing and intelligent agent construction have become core growth engines, driving a total call volume increase of over 16.5 times for internal applications such as WorkBuddy, Codebuddy, and Qclaw.
In addition to its strong performance within the internal ecosystem, Hy3preview also leads in the external developer market. According to OpenRouter's weekly data, the model not only secured the top spot in both total token call volume and market share, but also ranked first in call popularity for advanced scenarios such as programming assistance and tool calls.
The head of Tencent Hunyuan stated that the initial goal of developing Hy3preview was to enhance practicality. By launching a free trial on OpenRouter, the team successfully collected a large amount of valuable developer feedback in real and complex scenarios. This community-based and open platform testing model is becoming a key path for the rapid iteration of large language models (LLMs).
Industry observers believe that Hy3preview's breakthroughs in code and tool call scenarios mark the transformation of domestic large models from simple conversation capabilities to "actors" with productivity attributes.
