On May 12, Unitree Technology officially launched the world's first mass-produced manned transforming robot, the GD01, marking the transition of the integration of humanoid robots and general artificial intelligence (AGI) technology from the laboratory to the consumer market. The GD01 starts at a price of 3.9 million Chinese yuan, positioned as a transformable civilian transportation vehicle, achieving seamless switching between bipedal walking and quadrupedal movement modes in its technical approach.

In terms of hardware architecture, the robot demonstrates extremely high power density and structural strength. With a total weight of approximately 500 kg when carrying a person, the tested power performance is sufficient to knock down brick walls. The operator can interact through an internal control seat, not only enhancing adaptability in complex terrains but also ensuring system stability during movement through shape transformation. From a technological evolution perspective, the GD01 is not merely a mechanical upgrade but a deep integration of complex environmental perception and real-time power distribution algorithms, representing a key attempt for humanoid robots to move into the field of heavy-duty manned equipment.
