As the arms race of smart cars enters deeper waters, the competition between automakers in terms of underlying AI large models and hardware configurations has become extremely intense. On May 31, Xiaomi Auto released the latest "Answer to Netizens" session, officially answering the core questions that the market is highly concerned about, including the intelligent configuration, actual range, and braking system of the Xiaomi YU7 standard model.

In the most anticipated aspect of intelligent driving, Xiaomi Auto clearly confirmed that the YU7 standard model will be equipped with the latest "Xiaomi XLA Cognitive Large Model" at delivery. As a foundation for continuous evolution, the car's hardware configuration has not been compromised, featuring a Thor chip with 700TOPS computing power, laser radar, and 4D millimeter-wave radar, among other high-specification perception and computing hardware, laying a solid hardware foundation for future HAD auxiliary driving OTA upgrades.

Aside from the "high configuration at entry-level" intelligent configuration, the YU7 standard model's range performance has also passed strict third-party field tests. According to the recent test data disclosed by the official, the car's CLTC working condition range is 643km. In actual scenarios such as the Beijing Fifth Ring Road with three adult passengers (about 250kg), when the displayed battery level reaches 0%, the vehicle has already traveled 578km, achieving a range attainment rate of 89.9%, with an average energy consumption of only 12.8kWh/100km. More importantly, under extreme conditions after the battery is depleted, the car can still travel an additional 48.5km, making the total driving distance reach 626.5km, and finally achieving an impressive range attainment rate of 97.4%.

Regarding concerns from some consumers about the braking performance of the standard model, the official response stated that the YU7 standard model uses the same braking hardware architecture as the higher-end long-range and Pro models, both equipped with front four-piston fixed calipers and rear floating calipers. Because the standard model is equipped with a smaller battery pack, its curb weight is lighter compared to the high-end models. Therefore, the braking system that performs well on the long-range model will have more than sufficient braking performance and safety on the standard model.
