June 9 news, Apple, Google, and NVIDIA have announced a deep collaboration, jointly developing a new generation of artificial intelligence model - Apple Foundation Model Cloud Pro. This major strategic cooperation has broken the previous situation where giants operated independently, aiming to find the best balance between high-performance computing and privacy protection, marking the deepening of the integration of tech giants in AI infrastructure and model aspects.
According to Amal Subramanian, head of Apple's artificial intelligence business, this model can compete directly with industry-leading models such as Google's Gemini in terms of performance. In terms of technical architecture and operational ecosystem, Apple Foundation Model Cloud Pro will run entirely on NVIDIA's high-performance GPU clusters and be deeply integrated into Apple's private cloud computing (Private Cloud Compute) system. This combination of "strongest computing power + cutting-edge model + secure cloud-native" not only upgrades native applications like Siri to AI Agents (intelligent agents) within the Apple ecosystem, but also demonstrates a new paradigm of dual-track parallelism in edge-cloud collaboration and privacy security.
