This marks that the application of large models is accelerating from "virtual conversation" to "physical services", becoming a key layout for major tech companies to restructure the local life traffic entrance.

In this internal test, Dou Bao demonstrated a new travel experience based on natural language interaction. Users do not need to switch or download third-party software, they can simply state their travel needs directly in the Dou Bao chat window. The large model can automatically and accurately identify the starting point, destination, number of passengers, and vehicle type preferences. After the system quickly generates a route and estimates the cost, users can confirm the order with one click.

It is reported that the underlying capacity of this service is provided exclusively by Cao Cao Travel. Cao Cao Travel has fully integrated into the exclusive order channel of Dou Bao and provides a cash subsidy of 2 yuan per order to drivers who accept orders. By adopting a "light asset" model through introducing ecosystem partners, ByteDance aims to break through the daily active user ceiling of pure chat tools through high-frequency travel scenarios, and comprehensively activate the commercialization of AI Agents.
