In the deep waters of medical digital transformation, traditional medical devices are undergoing a "hardcore evolution" driven by AI and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. On June 17, during the 2026 IoT Ecosystem Conference held in Nanjing, China Unicom and Yu Yue Medical jointly showcased their latest achievements in the field of smart healthcare, announcing that their strategic cooperation has deepened from the initial "5G + production line" to full-chain co-creation in "AI + wearable devices".
The core highlight of this collaboration lies in the reshaping of medical device perception capabilities. Relying on China Unicom's computing power, cloud platform, and communication support, both parties jointly established the "Intelligent Medical Equipment Innovation Joint Laboratory". This model of collaborative research and development directly led to the launch of Yu Yue Medical's new health ring R3 and 4G portable electrocardiogram (ECG) recorder. These devices are no longer isolated data recorders but have become part of an intelligent network, bringing professional-level medical monitoring capabilities into daily life, allowing users to monitor their health indicators anytime, anywhere.
In addition to breakthroughs in product development, the intelligent upgrade of manufacturing processes is also a key focus for both parties. At Yu Yue Medical's Purumec AED factory, China Unicom customized a 5G "twice-speed chain" automated production line. The introduction of this system has completely changed the previous labor-intensive production model, significantly improving production capacity and quality inspection efficiency. More importantly, this efficient "Made in China" solution has gained recognition in overseas markets, marking the technical strength of domestic medical equipment being exported globally through the empowerment of industrial internet.
Through the deep integration of communication technology with clinical applications and smart manufacturing, China Unicom and Yu Yue Medical are redefining the ecosystem of health management. From meticulous production lines to smart monitoring on wearable devices, this combination of "AI + IoT" not only makes medical services more accurate and convenient but also provides strong foundational support for the internationalization of high-end domestic medical equipment. As the cooperation continues to deepen, more medical scenarios will achieve intelligent implementation in the future.
