Recently, it was reported that ByteDance's AI assistant, Douyin, is currently in a phased test of social features and has officially integrated with the Feishu account system.

The core change in this internal test is that Douyin now has a separate "Conversation" page, which allows users to add "Douyin friends" or "Feishu friends." When receiving a friend request, the system will pop up a "New Contact Request" notification, and the AI will automatically send a greeting message. Human friends who have been added will be marked with a special "Human" identifier in the conversation list.

In addition to friend integration, Douyin accounts now support logging into the Feishu web version, and information such as profile pictures and nicknames modified on the Douyin side can be synchronized to Feishu. However, most core office functions are still not available when Douyin accounts log in to Feishu.

Industry analysts believe that Douyin has a massive user base of over 300 million monthly active users, and has the potential to become a "Super App." This integration with Feishu aims to enter the vertical scenario of "workplace/office socializing," addressing the gap in work scenarios. If Douyin further integrates with the Douyin account system, ByteDance's social ecosystem in the AI era will have even greater potential.
