Google's AI note-taking and research tool NotebookLM has recently received a major upgrade, officially launching a new feature. This feature allows users to automatically convert scattered and complex text materials into TikTok-style vertical AI short videos.
This new feature aims to further enrich the use cases of "AI teaching" and "AI knowledge entertainment." The system can generate a 60-second vertical video based on the user's uploaded notes and complete the organization and explanation of key points with intuitive AI images and voiceover narration.

Paid users get early access
In terms of the specific operation process, users just need to go to any established "notebook" through the web version or mobile app. Then, in the Studio column on the right side of the interface, select "Video" and "Short" in sequence, and the AI will automatically generate a video based on a recommended topic or a topic entered by the user.
Currently, this short video generation feature only supports English content and is initially available to Google AI Ultra and Pro subscription users. Google stated that this feature will gradually be rolled out to free users, aiming to build the product into an integrated AI content creation platform that connects traditional knowledge management with short video consumption habits.
