Soufun Group announced on July 14 a strategic partnership with the US AI startup Sierra. From today, Soufun officially becomes the exclusive partner of Sierra in the Japanese market, and the two companies will jointly launch a new generation of customer service solutions driven by intelligent AI agents.
Currently, Soufun's online mobile brand Linemo has already integrated Sierra's AI technology. According to the group's plan, this technology will be fully rolled out to Soufun (SoftBank), Y!mobile, and other core brands, and gradually penetrate into other business lines of the group.

As a unicorn company co-founded by Bret Taylor, former chairman of OpenAI, Sierra's core advantage lies in building AI agents with high-level interaction and autonomous problem-solving capabilities. The introduction of this technology by Soufun into Japan's telecommunications and business ecosystem marks the acceleration of large model applications from proof of concept to intensive vertical scenarios. Intelligent AI agents not only change the superficial automation of traditional customer service but also deeply integrate into enterprise business workflows, achieving end-to-end delivery of complex business tasks.
With the aging population and labor shortage in Japan, introducing mature AI-native solutions in intellectual-intensive positions such as customer service has become a key factor for large enterprises to reshape operational efficiency. Soufun's technical barrier built through its exclusive agency rights is expected not only to revolutionize the customer service experience in Japan but may also trigger a widespread adoption of enterprise-level AI agent applications.
